When the holidays roll around, many people think it gives them license to overdo everything—not only with food, but also with gifts, shopping, and more.
Of course a little indulgence is okay, but you don't want to go hog-wild for months on end. Here are a few ways to rein in your holiday indulgences and keep it HEALTHY!
Unlike a surprise car repair bill or your hot water heater going on the fritz, holiday shopping is a foreseeable expense which most people prepare well in advance for, but no financial advice from me today, we're just talking health. But think about it, if most of us can stick to our planned expenditures, then why not our health goals too?
Just a few simple preplanned and helpful tips can make or break staying on track or falling into total self-sabotage!
Just because the season of plenty has arrived doesn't mean you can throw your healthy sensibilities out the window.
Keep it simple!
One trick to not overeating at a holiday party is to have a healthy meal before you go, so that you're full and won't be tempted to overindulge. That's where even an extra dose of Shakeology comes in real handy! Or have a piece of fruit and serving of raw almonds beforehand
Also, using small plates or napkins to snack instead of larger plates [can help]. If you want to taste everything, remember to take small portions—and no seconds. Drink lots of water and drink it often, this will help with any retention from salty snacks.
Lastly, It's the Holidays, a beautiful time to ENJOY friends and family and CELEBRATING the birth of our Lord and the New Year. If you want to cut loose with the sweets, EAT THEM WITHOUT ANY GULT!
But hear me out here, plan ahead for it and leave it to just one day or better yet, one sitting! Don't string it a long for a two days or a week, that’s where you fall into BIG trouble and regret will surely find you.
I love you all and hope this helps, so just play it smart and plan ahead!
